Native Americans have lived in what is now New Mexico for thousands of years. Evidence of their history here is seen everywhere: in abandoned cities, petroglyphs, cliff dwellings, and pit houses.

Today, there are three Native American reservations and nineteen pueblos in the state of New Mexico. The northwest corner of the state is Navajo land, the Jicarilla Apache live in the north of the state, and the Mescalero Apache live in  southeastern New Mexico. The center of the state is dotted with pueblos - Native American communal dwellings featuring stone or adobe houses.

Below is a list of New Mexico Bed and Breakfasts close to Native Lands. Guests may tour the pueblos and reservations, either individually or as part of a group; some pueblos welcome visitors to participate in feasts and other special events.
