Adobe & Pines Inn Bed & Breakfast

Re-discover adobe history in the heart of the southwest. Experience Taos ~ replenish your Soul.

Adobe & Pines Inn is centered around a preserved 1832 historic adobe hacienda.  We are part of the Ranchos de Taos Plaza area where the famous San Francisco de Asis Church resides along with artisan shops, restaurants and scenic rural landscapes.

The Inn is located 4 miles south of the Taos Plaza and the Taos Pueblo and within a short drive to four ski and recreation areas ~ Ski Valley, Sipapu, Angel Fire and Red River. We are less than a mile from the Taos Country Club and Golf Course and 12 miles north of the Rio Grande Gorge State Park and Visitor Center.

Come Replenish Your Soul ~

Away from the busy sounds of the town, the stillness enfolds the old adobe in Winter, while brilliant flowers and gentle breezes greet you in the Spring.

Against the wondrous backdrop of the ever-changing color on Taos Mountain, enjoy our orchard with fruit trees and wild asparagus while breathing the fresh, clean air with the faint bouquet of pine and sweet grass.

Settle down in our sun room in front of the wood burning stove, which overlooks the flagstone courtyard. Read or nap in a hammock under a 100 foot evergreen tree for a moment or two, or find your own quiet spot to get away and slow down. We have lots of them.

As the fire leaps in the corner fireplace and shadows dance on the softly contoured adobe walls, it is more than the warmth of the fire that our guests feel. Laughter and happy voices fill the Inn. Surrounded by nature's beauty, there is a quality of relaxation and casual elegance.

Centered around a preserved 1832 historic adobe hacienda, Adobe and Pines Inn is unique and authentic, offering a range of accommodations in a spacious outdoor environment.

All guest rooms have kiva or gas fireplaces, locally crafted furnishings and each has unique features and amenities.  Many suites have deep soaking or whirlpool baths, kitchenettes, private outdoor patios or decks, and other luxury amenities, including one with a private sauna and three with private outdoor hot tubs.

Four guest rooms varying in size are located in the main historic structure with massively thick adobe walls and few straight lines or square corners. The well equipped kitchen, welcoming living room and reception area, and spacious dining area are also in the historic main house. Four guest rooms are in detached casitas that are spacious enough to accommodate 4 - 6 people equipped with kitchens, luxurious bathrooms and outdoor patios, making them logical choices for families, friends or couples traveling together or those traveling with their faithful 4-legged companions.

The central courtyard framed by low adobe walls, fruit and shade trees greets guests as they enter from the off-street parking just steps from the main entry and reception area.  As guests walk through the rustic gate and onto the Grand Portal, they are immersed in the rich architectural details preserved by past owners that include low doorways, embedded artwork and handcrafted beams. The inn retains many old and quite lovely wall tiles embedded in both outdoor and indoor walls and kivas.

During warmer months, a healthy 3- course breakfast is served both in the dining area, lined with ceiling to floor windows overlooking a terraced courtyard, and in the courtyard itself on one of a number of flagstone patios that offers a variety of seating options.

The central courtyard with its informal landscape of native grasses, perennials and trees provides a variety of quiet spaces, where guests can gather and converse under the shade of majestic trees, take a nap in a hammock, sit and read a book in a more intimate space, or make new friends as they relax in willow chairs along the portico and look out into the peaceful setting.

The property has its own acequia that is part of the ancient Spanish irrigation system throughout New Mexico that continues to thrive today.  The acequia has been transformed into a lovely rock lined stream framed by a graceful stone bridge.

For those that want total immersion and meditation, a Zen garden and large labyrinth - the longest in the area at ร‚ยผ mile, are also available.  And for the want-to-be farmers, communing with the chickens and goats in their respective quarters or a walk thru the vegetable and herb beds that the on-site bee hives support, will provide insight into where breakfast came from!

Enhance your stay with a massage from our on-site massuese, a hot-air balloon trip, or one of many smaller items such as chocolate covered strawberries!

Our friendly and attentive staff is ready to help meet your needs and provide consierge services!
